WEDDING BELLS.

PEEEMAN—MITCHELL. A wedding of interest was solemnised at the Otaki Station churchroom on Wednesday afternoon, when two wellknown residents, the offspring of highly respected settlers, were united in holy bonds Of matrimony. The parties were Mr Charles'"Leslie'(''Tim-"') Freeman, fourth son of Mr and Mrs Herbert Freeman, and Miss Eva Elizabeth Mitchell, second daughter of Mr and Mrs Arthur Mitchell. The church was prettily decorated for the occasion, while a number of relatives and friends attended to witness the ceremony, which was conducted by the Rev. G. F. Petric, M.A. The bride, who was given away by her brother (Mr* Frank Mitchell). was nicely attired in white embroidered voile veil and orange blossoms. She wore a valuable gold bracelet, the gift of the bridegroom. Miss Evelyn Mitchell, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, and was prettily attired in white silk. She also wore a gold brooch, the rift of the bridegroom. Both bride and bridesmaid carried lovely bouquet? of lveopodium and white chrysanthemums. Mr Lionel Burston officiated as best man.

After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of Mr and Mrs Freeman, when congratulatory speeches were the order of the'day. The bride's gift to the bridegroom was" a solid'leather travelling case. The young couple were the recipients or manv. presents, useful as well us ornamental, while quite -a number ..of cheques were also received. The honevmoon will be spent in various parts of the Korth Island, and on Wednesday'the couple left, anu.;st best wishes, for Wellington, prior to going to Auckland and other parts. Their futrire home will be in Otaki, where they are so well and favowably knpwu,- ,
