GOLF.
The Levin Golf Club has advised the secretary of the local club that its team for the mutch on Saturday next will consist of live ladies and six men. The following will represent the Otaki Oink: yirs it S. Simcox, Miss Simcox, Mrs D-'Ath, Miss O'Rourke, Miss 'B. O’Rourke, Messrs Brown (captain), F. S. Simcox, Hcdditch, Griffiths, E. P-. Simcox, and AY. M. Simcox; emergencies, Miss Fearless and I’odovin. Lunch will be ready in the pavilion at 12.30 p.Bi,, and the games will start immediately afterwards. Tho ladies’ first competition for- the seuson, played las*. Saturday, resulted in a tic between Miss Sinieox and Miss Pearless, both S 3 nett. The men at the at the end of the month, and the Httt.t also resulted in a tic, Kirk and Hopkins returning the best cards, both , being four down to the colonel. The Johnsonville Golf Club suggests sending a team to Otaki on the King-’s Birthday, Manawatu arc coming down at the enr of the month, and the Hutt Club match has been arranged for the' ili.it Saturday in July.
Members' form this season so far has been disappointing. As they have a hard series of matches against visit-ing clubs before them, it is up to each one to get all the practice he can in order to uphold the reputation of the Otaki Club.'
