Mr Eric William's, son of Mr and Mrs O. H. Williams, of Otaki, has joined the Willochra as wireless operator, and on Wednesday left by the boat for Port Chalmers. After a short run in New Zealand waters it is expected that. Mr Williams will leave by the sainc ship for Homo. We-congratulate him on his appointment, and wish him success.

Kev. Hedley White and Mrs White and family leave Otaki on . Tuesday next, on route for Taumarunui. Mr White has proved a hard-working und most popular minister, and also a valuable citizen. Ho was president of the Otaki Gymnasium Club, vice-president of the Literary and Debating Club, vice-president of tho Tennis Club, u member of the Library Committee, and took an active interest in any good work for the advancement of the district and the good e£ the community. Mr and Mrs White carry with them tho best wishes of many friends throughout the district.
