MT. HECTOR TRACK.
THE BEST ROUTE. Mr Arthur Seed, manager of the Maymorn Company, yesterday informed the secretary of the Mount Hector Track Committee (Otiiki side) that he considered the best route over the Tararuas to Greytown would be via Ray-"s ridge, wncrc the track would cost less to put hi order than via Table Top-. and where other facilities, such as housing accommodation, would be infinitely better. He suggested the building of- a puuga whare, and also offered the use of a hut on his property-.
