m EXTKAOKDINAEY MEETING. [m A well-attended meeting of sharo- / holders in the Te Horo Co-op. Dairy * Co., Ltd., was held at the Te Horo Hall last night, Mr H. Windley in the chair: The meeting was .called to deal with important proposals which had previously engaged the attention of shareholders, and were brought forward for adoption or otherwise. A resolution, proposed by Mr S. Mackenzie, providing that a non-producer might bo elected a member of the directorate, was carried. A proposal to the effect that all supS pliers' dairies must be registered, under ( 1 V penalty of forfeiture of shares, at the j |discretion of the directorate, was lost "on being put to the meeting. . \ Hr E. Haedonald moved a resolution —a compromise,' agreed to after conconsultation —fixing the maximum votes to bo hold by any supplier to fivc,*on the following scale: —Holders of up to 15 shares, one vote; up to 25, 2; up to 50, 3; up to SO, 4;*over SO, 5. This was carried.
The above resolutions were debated at great length. It was also resolved, on the motion of Mr . Jensen, that suppliers bo required to supply the factory during the whole 12 months, and not for eight only as at present.
The matter of Wellington milk supply was debated at length by the meeting, the matter being eventually left in tho hands of the directors to deal with.
There was also a full and at times heated discussion on matters pertainin"- to the co-op. store business. Eventually the matter was adjourned, with the intention of going more fully into tho matter at next meeting, to bo held shortly to confirm resolutions -passed at ibe meeting.
The mooting closed at about midnight. ■
