SKULL FOUND.

UNDL3 A HEDGE IN EEILDING. A well-formed skull was found under a honeysuckle hedge at the residence of Sergeant-Major Shepherd, I, Denbigh Street, ' l’ciiding, on Monday. Children playing near the hedge noticed the object and rooted it out with a spade. It was seen that the skull had been wrapped in a piece of a chaff-bag, and placed bv a fence under the hedge. Tt could not have been there a very long time, lev tlie sacking had not completely rotted. Mr C. I. Broad tuts good enough to examine the skull, and, he pronounced it as that of: an elderly person, as the wisdom teeth showed signs of wear.—The police have charge of the skull and the subject of its discovery.
