LAWN TENNIS.
OTAKI V. WELLINGTON TEAM. Ideal weather conditions prevailed to-day for the tennis match that is being played on the Olaki courts between the local tennis players and a team from Wellington, under the management of Mr C. Guy Turner. The visiting team is a strong one, and in the earlier games, at any Tate, proved far too good for the local players. Tho following games had been decided up to the luncheon adjournment, Wellington players mentioned first in each instance:— Howie v. Iledditch, 9-2; Leicester v. F. S. Simcox, 9-3; Turner v. Takerci, 9-7; Riley v. Penn, 9-1; Wiren v. Griffith, 9-2; Howies and Leicester v, Iloiiditeh and F. S. Simsox, 9-7; Misses Atmore and Sicvwright v. Misses Hodgo and Joan Pearless, 2-7.
