ADDINGTON MARKET. Cliristchureh, March 12. At the Addington market to-day there were rather smaller yardings of fat and store sheep and. fat cattle, and increased entries of fat lambs, store and dairy cattle, and pigs. There was a large attendance of those interested :j in store sheep. A heavy shower of rain came up from the south, but the weather was too hot to have any effect upon, the store sheep market, which is now being seriously affected through the long dry spell of weather and the shortage of feed on the plains. Store sheep . of all classes were easier, and the same may be said of unfinished lambs: In the fat down, in price. There was no business done for export until - towards the end of the sale./ Fat sheep sold well, as the yarding was a short one. There was [ little demand for store cattle. Unfinished'pigs ’in fat pens were dull of / sale, and there was not a very active demand for store pigs.
