OBITUARY.
Ivlß R. BOOTH. The death occurred last night at Otaki of Mr Richard Booth, one of our oldest and most esteemed residents, aged 84 years. Deceased, who was born in Westmoreland (England), came to New Zealand when a young man. For a time he lived in Wanganui, and afterwards took up fanning at Waihoanga, Otaki, where he lived till some twenty years ago. He then retired and came to reside in the township of Otaki, where, fill a few weeks ago, ho enjoyed good health. Deceased leaves a family of three Mcsdames Walter Best (Otaki) and G. 11. Kingdon (Manalcau) and Mr E. W. Booth (Otaki) —to mourn their loss. Deceased was a prominent worker in the Anglican Church, and for many years filled the position of vicar’s churchwarden with distinct credit. He was also an enthusiastic bowler, and his genial presence will be much missed from the local green. The funeral will take place to-mor-row, at 2.00 p.in.
