Mr and Mr;-. .7. P. Brandon, of 'Wellington, are at present spending a holiday in Otaki. Private G. M. D'Ath (Manakau) has been removed from the seriously ill list. . . "Ernie" Clark, .who left with the Second Reinforcements, is expected to arrive by the Hororata, due in Wellington on or about March 13th. Mr and Mrs Charles Morris, who were married on Tuesday last, are at present spending their honeymoon at Pahiatua, previous to taking up residence at Tc Horo. His Grace Archbishop Redwood has returned to Xew Zealand from Australia. He is at present spending a few days in Auckland as the guest of Bishop Clean-. Mr Byron Brown, representing the Otaki Town Board, left,yesterday for Shannon, where he will form one of the number with the Minister for Public Works to view the locality for the Mangahao electric lighting scheme. Tonight a smoke concert will be held.
, Miss Corry, who has been in Mr R. C. Kirk's office in Wellington for some time, has taken up a similar position with his Otaki branch. Miss Ria Tahiwi, of Otaki, has also joined the staff, while Miss Mary Bennett is now connected with Mr t}. H. Harper's office.
A quiet wedding was solemnised at Palme-nton XortH on Wednesday, when Mr James T. Trcmbathj returned.soldier, and a popular resident of Te Horo, was married to Miss Lucas, of Awakuri. Mr and Mrs Trembath returned home on Wednesday night, and were accorded a hearty reception.
The late Private E. P. (Percy) Meek, whose death we chronicled in our. last issue, was the eldest son of >MrE. Meek, of the Railway Department, Wellington. Pre. Meek, who died at Broekenhurst Hospital.. (England) was 36 years 'of age. He went away with'" the 12th Reinforcements in \W>, and saw active in France.
