Despite heavy misty rain on Wednesday, a large crowd of friends and '■n'torestod spectators attended at All mints’ Church, Palmerston North, to witness the marriage of Miss No elide Keeling, eldest daughter of Mr arid Mrs G. W. Keeling, and Lieut. Ernest E. i.ewer ■ Me'.}. only son of Air E. O. Lower, of Jvurori. at one time a resident of tills district. Lieut. Lewe-r was attached to the Ist Battalion of the XviV Zealand Kill; 1 Brigade, gained his commission on the field at the battle of the Somme, earned his M.C. at Messir.e:-, and was seriously wounded - in .July, J.C‘l7, at Le Basse Yilie, and later invalided to New Zealand. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr Hubert .Keeling, wore a 'short bridal gown-of Brussels net over shell fink elm unease, veiled with frills of Limerick lace. A court tr;ri% of Dn.-be.-s satin lined with shell pink hung from the shoulders. She wore a -Juliet cap of Lin!crick lace and the brid- i veil which had been worn by her graiidmotlier. A shower bouquet of pink and white flowers completed the bride’s toilet. The bridegroom’s- gift v-.-is a diamond and platinum pendant. Tie; bridesmaids were Misses Sandy McDonald. Patricia Keeling and Peggy Bagnnll. Miss McDonald's frock was -Brussels : r over heliotrope eharbeuse,-' 'trimmed with Fillet la'cc and a black tulle-.picture .hat .with black, velvet streamers. The two small girls wore dainty frocks of flounced Brussels net Fillet trimmed, with large black beaver hats. .. Each bridesmaid carried a nosey of pink flowers and vore_a pendant, the gift of the bridc- •: Lieut. U. J. Jacobs was bc-.-t and Captain Mills (Wellington) groomsman, The, bridegroom and his attendant officers were- ail in uniform. After the reception, art which relative:- t-nd a few intimate friends were present. JLry.u. and Mis Lower left on a brief motor, tour.
