, --ADDINGTON MARKET. Christchurch, Jan. 22.. At the Addington market to-day there were smaller yardings of stock in almost all departments. Fat cattle sold at about last week’s rates, exporters again operating freely. The yarding of store cattle was much above the average, there being a large proportion of well-grown cattle, but the prices were not equal to those ruling a few weeks ago. Store sheep were dull of sale, except anything in a forward condition. There was little or no change in fat sheep or prime lambs, but medium and unfinished lambs were easier. There was a fair demand for fat pigs, but stores were dull of sale.

Store Sheep,—Two-tooth wethers to 265, 4 and 6-tooth wethers 25s 3d to 2§s, 4, 6 and 8-tooth wethers 3'os 9d, mixed sex lambs 13s 7d to 17s Bd, lambs 13s 7d to 17s Bd. rape lambs 16s lid to 22s 6d, fat lambs (extra prime) to 335, prime 26s to 29s 9d, medium 23s 6d to 25s 6d, lighter 19s 3d to 235. Fat Sheep—Extra prime wethers to 38s Id, prime wethers 33s 6d to 36s 6d, lighter %vethers 27s 3d to 335, prime ewes 32s to 35s 3d, medium ewes 28s 6d to 31s, lighter ewes 22s 9d to 28s.

Fat Cattle—Extra prune steers to £2l, prime (steers £l6 10s to £2O, ordinary steers £ll to £l6 2s 6d, extra prime heifers £l9, prime heifers £l2 12s 6d to £l7, ordinary heifers £9 15s to £ls ss, extra prime cows £l9, prime cows £l3 to £l6, ordinary edws £9 2s 6d to £l2 10s.

Store Cattle —Yearlings .R 5 10s to £5 16s, 2-year steers £7 17s 6d to £8 ss, 22-year heifers £8 15s 6d, 3year steers £9 to £l2 Is, 4 and 5year steers £l3 10s, dry cows £6 to £8 10s, cows and calves £9 7s 6d, dairy cows £lO to £l6 2s 6d.

Pigs • Choppers £4 to £9 16s, baconers £5 5s to £9 (equal to 9jd per pound), porkers £2 15s to L 4 10s (equal to lOd to lOi-d per pound), medium stores L 3 to L 3 8s 6d, smaller stores 32s to 38s, weaners 12s 9d to 245, breeding sows L 5 to LG.
