Engineer’s Report.
The following is the Engineer’s report of the Waimate Road Board : Puketapu Road. Recommended that steps be taken to compel the stoppage of water now flowing through the cemetery and across the road. Resolved that notice be given to Pihama cemetery trustees to return the water to its natural course. (Pearce-McCarthy.) Watino Road. —Recommended that no action be taken to divert water, as the foreman considered that Messrs Lowrie and Holmes were not being injured.—Adopted. Skeet Road.—Culvert and filling near Mr Barlcyman’s would cost £2.— No money at present. Upper Auroa Road.- r ßecommended £4 to be expended. —No money available. Wiremu Road.—Recommended chains to be drained. Cost, £1 per chain. No funds. Lower Glenn Road.—Recommended the balance of the funds available be expended in blinding and repairing.— Agreed to. Upper Glenn Road.—Recommended that three cuttings be regraded, and that holes for a few chains require filling, cost £lO. —Approved. Lower luaha.—Recommended that £l5O available be expended in formation and metalling.—Adopted. Loan Moneys.—Recommended that all works bo put in hand at once. — Agreed to. —Star.
