IMPOUNDING.

(to the editor.) Sir,—ln your issue of 25th Oct. a notice from one Edwin Barlow appears, insinuating that a beast now running on his place at Pihama, will be sold by the poundkeeper, on November 12th, unless released and expenses paid. If Edwin Barlow has framed an Impounding Act to suit his own convenience and has appointed himself poundkeeper, well and good, so long as the police and the owner of the beast do not interfere, but the public poundkeeper declines to make one in an illegal act.—l am, &c, A. E. Bayliss, Poundkeeper. Pihama, October 28,1895.
