Opunake Parliamentary Union.

The next meeting of the above takes place on Wednesday evening in the school-room. We have been requested to state that the ladies’ visiting tickets which were issued admit for the whole season, so that those who received them may attend throughout the session. Mr W. F. Robinson has formed a Government as follows :—W. F. Robinson, Premier, Treasurer, and Public Works ; G. W. Rogers, Lands, Marine and Labor; P. White, Justice and Post-master-General ; G. P. Armstrong, Education and Mines. The subject for debate will be a progressive income tax and a second bill to provide state pensions. We expect to see a full attendance of members, as there is likely to be a lively debate.
