To construct a drain for the purpose of irrigation, starting at the Oaonui River on Section 34, Block VI, Opunake Survey District, and thence passing through Sections 12 and 11, Block VI, and Sections 5 and 6, Block XV, all in the Opunake Survey District. 2. To borrow for such purpose the sum of £3OO, and to pay out of such loan the cost of raising. 3. To strike as security a Special - Rate of 13-16ths of a penny in the £ on all rateable property within the district hereinafter described. 4. To constitute the Arawata Special Rating District, and to comprise the following lands, viz. : Sections 12 and 11, Block VI, and Sections 5 and 6, Block XV, all in the Opunake Survey District. The said rate to be an annually recurring rate for 26 years. A meeting of ratepayers interested in the above proposal will be held in Mr R. Pepperill'3 House, Arawhata Road, on SATURDAY, July 20th, at 2 p.m. M. FLEMING, Chairman.
