School Attendance.

George Floyd, New Plymouth, was charged committing a breach of the School Attendance Act, in not sending his son to school. Defendant pleaded guilty, and-stated that his wife had taken the child to school, finding that he " played the wag." Mr Bellringer: That does not make any difference, Mr Floyd. Your are held responsible for tha boy's, attendance. The Bench convicted defendant, and allowed the question of costs to be deferred until the other case had been dealt with. Thomas Flintoff was charged with a similiar offence. Defendant who was represented by Mr Weston, pleaded not guilty. Mr Kerr appeared for the Inglewood Committee. .
