MEETING OF PARISHIONERS.

A meeting of parishioners was held on Monday evening in the school room, when there was a good attendance. The Rev J. W. Chapman occupied the chair.

The Chairman congratulated the congregation on the erection and completion of the church, which was a credit to them as a body, and a handsome addition to the architecture of the township. He expressed a hope now that they had the church that the members would attend to their duties and give a liberal support to the church in the district. The election of was then proceeded with. The Rev Mr Chapman nominated Mr Geo. W. Rogers as Minister's Church Warden.

Mr E. C. Middleton was appointed Parishioners' Church Warden.

The following were appointed vestrymen : Messrs J. Harding-Mason, H. Newmau, T. A. Bushe Bailey, H. Eason, J. Eatock, H. H. Seccombe, and G. P. Armstrong. Mr Bushe Bailey was appointed secretary.

It was pointed out that owing to irregular services and the high assessment placed on this district the ordinary fund was in debt, and it was resolved that the vestry make a special effort, by means of obtaining donations, to wipe off the debt by 30th June next.
