Freezing Works for Taranaki.
A large and representative meeting was held at New Plymouth on Saturday last to consider the question of the erection of freezing works. A considerable amount of enthusiasm was displayed, and an influential committee formed to push on the project. It was decided to form a company with £IO,OOO capital in 2,000 shares of £5 each. Several alternative proposals to make shares £l, £2 and £2 10s were put forward, but duly negatived and the original motion carried. It is anticipated that it will only be necessary to call up £2 10s per share. The works are to be erected at the New Plymouth breakwater.
