WAIMATE RIDING.

Nominations for three members for the Waimate Riding will be received up till noon on Monday next, at the Council’s office, Hawera. We understand that Mr A. Proudlock is to be nominated in the interests of the bush settlers. He has taken a leading part in opposing merging, and is deserving of the support of Waimate for his efforts in their behalf. He will make a very useful member, as he has a good grasp of the position of affairs of the district, and the electors will be quite safe in trusting him with their confidence. When the nominations are in we shall deal with them.
