WEDDING

FLEMING-LANG St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Te Puke, was beautifully decorated recently on the occasion of the marriage of Shirley .Maureen, eldest-, daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. A. T. Lang, of Te Puke, to Robert Thomson Fleming, fourth eldest son of Mrs, and the late Mr. T. Fleming, of Opociki, The bride, who was given away bj her uncle, Mr. S. T. Russell,.of Rotorua, wore a beautifully trainee, deep cream art lace frock with.fail bishop sleeves and pcplum fashioned to a graceful peak at the back. Her exquisitely hand-em-broidered veil, fell from a top-knot of dusky pink roses, and she carried a shower bouquet of stock and roses to tone.

In attendance were her sister, Miss Kathleen Lang, and cousin, Miss Nguirc Russell, as bridesmaids, with Peta and Beth, twin nieces of the bridegroom, as flower girls. They were charmingly Locked in powder blue lace and net cut on similar lines to the bride’s frock, and carried shower bouquets of daffodils, polyanthus and forget-me-nots, with top-knots of flowers to match.

Mr. Stewart Fleming, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man, and Air- Ai. Hutton as groomsman.

After the ceremony a reception was held at McDowell’s Hall, where Airs. Lang, accompanied by Mrs. Fleming, received the many guests. Airs. Lang chose a smart ensemble of black with white • accessories, while Airs. Fleming wore an attractive hyacinth blue wool georgette suit with navy accessories.

A social evening, which the happy couple attended to bid farewell to their friends, wound up the occasion, the bride wearing a. povv d-er-blue, light woollen suit with hat to match, and nigger brown accessaries.
