FLOWER SHOW

ST. JOHN’S St. John’s Presbyterian Church recently held a very successful flower show. There was a large attendance and the numerous blooms were of a very high standard. Special interest again centred round the floral courts with artistic' presentation of flowers arranged by Mrs. G. Neilson, Miss E. Bridge, Mrs. Holmes and Alias B. Beattie. Party cornflower and loses by I. Neilson; seaside memories .by E. Bridge, the lily court by M. Holmes and Christmas confection by I. Neilson.

The children’s courts also attracted special attention, the work being of a particularly high standard.

The show was o.pcncd by Rev. K. H. Evans. The judges commented very favourably on the arrangement and staging of the exhibits and of the quality of the blooms.
