WEDDING

GRANT—LYE The wedding took place on Saturday, November 15tli. in the Me'thodist Church, Opotiki, of Miss Iluia Lye, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Lye, New Brighton, and Mr.. lan Grant, second son of Mr. and Mrs. F. A, Grant of Woodlands. Opotiki.

The Rev. L. O. Clements officiated. The bride, who was given away by Mr. Norman Perry, wore a charming gown of cream netted lace, cut iu slim-fitting lines, and an heirloom: lace veil crooned with a. coronet of orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of cream roses and sweet peas.

The bridesmaids, 'Miss Daphne Lye sister of the bride and Miss Beryl McLean wore fitting frocks of pale blue art crepe georgette trimmed with pin and silver beadwork. They carried bouquets of pink carnations and blue cornflowers. Two little flower girls, Leslie Clements and Elizabeth Perry were dressed in cream net over pink taffeta, with button-hole roses in their hair. Carrying pcsies of delphiniums and carnations they completed the- colourful picture of bridal attendants. Messrs. Christ Grant ailcl Roy Forbes were best man and groomsman.

After the ceremony In the Church the guests adjourned to St. John’s Hall for the reception, where they were welcomed by Mrs. Grant and Mrs. Perry.
