NEARLY TOOK ADVICE
CHURCH STREET INCIDENT Oswald, Graeme of that ilk, is a firm believer that advertising pays and his slogan o-f “Put Yourself in OswalcUs Shoes”, is fairly well known to local residents. The unexpected happened the other morning whe he got a surfeit of customers. After a few had swarmed into his •emperioum he was compelled to close his doors and left thousands humming and milling round outside anxious to gain admittance. In fact there were more feet than lie could ever covet in a life-time.
Graeme was at his wits’ end liow to cope with the situation and Tai Fat swore he had a “bee in his bonnet”. The swarm eventually settled on his signboard outside, where, Stan, the local bee-tamer, successfully housed the humming thousands ‘and later in the evening took them away. A traveler in the shop who encountered the wrong end of a bee declared he had never had such a hot reception for a long time.
