FINE ACHIEVEMENT

TOLAGA BAY RECORD FOOD FOR BRITAIN DRIVE An achievement without parallel in the Dominion was put up recently by the sparsely-populated Tolaga Bay district. The Tolaga Bay district has a population of only about 500 persons, and in the week under mention gave no fewer than 2861 but-, tor coupons and 25,,304 meat coupons, nearly one-third of all the butter coupons collected in the Dominion and more than onc-sevcnth of all the meat coupons. This result was achieved by a personal canvas by members of the staff of the postmaster, Mr. L. G. Watson. To date 431,315 butter and 12,161,411 meat coupons have been contributed. This represents an extra 061 tons of butter and 2714 tons of meat made available for the people of Britain.
