SUGGESTED SINKING FATE OF ACHILLES BUENOS AIRES* TALK DENIAL BY EAII JASSY NEW YORK, Dec, 13. A message from Buenos Aires states that the British Embassy spokesman' to-day said that it could be definitely statod that there was no truth in reports that H.AI.S. Achilles bad been sunk. An earlier report despatebodi by the Buenos Aires correspondent of the Associated Press of America had stated that the British authorities were unable to confirm a rumour that the •Achilles bad been sunk. It was hinted that enemy sources wen* responsible for the rumour. A Monte Video message stated that British. German and. Uruguayan officials there stated they hud no information of a- reported naval battle. The officers of a Japanese steamer which parsed through the area which was reported to be the scene ol the hat tie saw or heard nothing of it.
