BEFORE-fHOLIDAY RACE •• ’ ' ■-*- <*- y ' A general handicap race, which will bo the first for the O’Sullivan trophy,, will take place on the Opotiki harbour on Sunday. This will be the last, race this year. It was previously stated, that the last race was to have been, held on Snnilhy last. Pacing will commence again on January 14, 1910. The following handicaps have been, arranged:— Opah, light wind 2 minutes, medium wind scr.. heavy wind scr. Leilani, scr,, 3 min., 4 min. Endeavour, scr., 3 min., 4 min. Pop eye, 4 min., 4 min.,. 3 min.' Phantom, 13 min., 11 min., 1(4 in. Q.T., 13 min.. 11 min., 10 min. Marie, 15 min., 12 min., *ll min. L‘Oiseau, 30 min., 20 min.. 11 min. Karoro, '3O min., 25 min., 15 min. Silver Wings, 8 min., (3 min.. 4 min. Alaneno, 9 min., 7 min., 5 min.. Flying Cloud, 9' min., 7 niin., 5 min. Tins race will start at 10 a.m. and will ho over the usual course.
