“MUSIC-MAKERS’ CLUB”

S i LA’ J'Jlt ME DAL A AWARDED During the past week, at the Opotiki Convent, the “Music-Makers’ Club” held its final meeting for the year. A silver medal was awarded Aliss Audry Cooper for having attained the highest marks in pianoforte playing, in the recent Royal Academy examination. This talented pupil has shown on all occasions the makings of a great musician. An exciting competition took place between other members of the club, a silver cross being won by Mis* Joan Quirk for her musical performance. Prizes for the best musical scrap books were presented to Misses Maris Stevens (first place), Patricia Quirk and Jean Quirk (second place). Before dispersing, tho members enjoyed themselves by partaking in a treasure-hunt.
