Shipping losses lor the week ended December I) were as follows: British, six vessels, totalling 2J,1.‘12 tons; neutral, eight vessels, totalling 20,012 tons. * It is officially stated that the billowing British ships are overdue and must nmv lie considered to liave been lost: The Aslilca, of 1222 tons; Newton Beech, 1051 tolls; Huntsman, 8M)(5 tons; and 'l’revauion, 52119 tons. According to an authorised statement the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy destroyed live enemy submarines last week. The Admiralty announces the list of casualties in connection with the torpedoing ol the destroyer Jersey, on Doceniher 7, namely, officers missing and believed killed, two; injured, two; ratings missing and believed killed, eight.; injured, HJ.
