NOT UNDER-RATED
POWER OF NAZIS HALIFAX’S WARNINC “NO .RASY VICTORY” RUGBY, Dec. G. The Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Viscount Halifax, in his inspiring speech in the Mouse ol Lords yesterday, said he fully recognised the magnitude of the task that lies before the Allies in their resolve to see the war through. They understood well enough, said Lord Halifax, what was at stake. They did not expect an easy victory. They did not under-fate the skill and power of determination of their enemies, nor diid they count on an early collapse on the enemy’s home front, hub they also knew the quality of their own resolution and knew that recognition of the issues at stake would keep , that resolution both united and intense.
