CLAY-BIRD SHOOT CLUB CHAMPION SHIP WON BY W, SEMMENS There were good entries at a shoot arranged by the Opotiki Rod and Gun Club and held on the club’s range on Mr. G. S. Moody’s property, Tablelands. The chief event of the day was the championship shoot, open to all club financial members. Leo Parkinson, W. Semmens and R. ll Kereliono tied and divided first 'money. In the shoot off to decide the championship Kereliono missed fit'the .fifth bird! and Parkinson, missed at the . eighth bird. Following are the results EYE-OPENER, 6 Birds, 16 Entries. —J. Brice (11yds.), J. McC’aldoif • (14 yds.) and Jack "Parkinson shot the possible and divided first-mon-ey. J. Ross, R-. Butler and N. Johnson each shot 5 birds. OPOTIKI ROD AND GUN CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP, 5 Birds, 'ls Entries, —L. Parkinson, W. Semmens and R. Kereliono each shot the possible of .5 birds at each of the three marks. Semmens won in the shbot'off. TEAM SHOOT, 5‘ Birds, 4'Teams.— No 4 team comprising R. Butler (capt.), J. Ross, Black and P. Kerehono shot 17 birds. Burton’s team shot 12. Brice’s 11 and MoOaldon’s 10. GIMCRACK HANDICAP, 6 Birds, 16 Entries.—J. Ross and L. Parkinson shot- the possible and dividlcd first money. W. Butler, J. Brice, Fleming, Torrie, W. Semmens, S. Prfitt and T. Black eacli shot 5 birds and divided second money. DRIVEN *CIAME SHOOT, 6 Birds, 15 yards in front of trap.—J. McOaldon shot the possible. J. Brice, A. Fleming, R. C. Butler, W. Semmens and W. Burton each secured 5 birds. Summons beat Brice' in the slioot-01l for second place. TANEATUA SPECIAL, 6 Birds, 10 Entries.—J. Brice, Leo Parkinson, R. Mcllwraitli and! P.
