M INISTEirs REQUISITION IA)NDON, Nov, 3,—The Minister of Supply, Dr. 13. L. Burgin, said in the House of Commons that he rc- ' quired urgently 250,000 woollen vests for the army, but that only; 60,000 were purchasable from manufacturers’ stocks. As he was dissatisfied and was convinced that more vests were available, he made an emergency order under the war-time, powers, and instructed requisitioning officers to visit 120 firms." In four days they obtained 200,000 vests, wlifth previously had not been offered to the Government-.
