The Daily Mail says that Mr. Chamberlain’s calm words reflect the iron will of the British pople. The .Daily Express says, tho speech stamps Mr. .Chamberlain as a real loader of a people at war. Special prominence i» given to Mr. Chamberlain’s statement of war and peace aims. 'The News-Ohroniele, which, among other newspapers, has called for niore precise statement on the sort ol Europc to he created when the war is won, enthusiastically welcomes the speech declaring that the aims eo-uld hard!/ have been stated in more specific form. Broad Principles. The Daily 'Telegraph comments: “This definition of peace as a matter for settlement by a world congress ol nations, goes far beyond! any former declaration of the'Allios. Mr. Chamberlain stated broad principles. Economic nationalism must give way to the flow of trade. “The internal government of a State will he no concern of any other, but the external policy must he peicoiul.
