WOHK IX AUSTRALIA Tribute to the success of Australian irrigation schemes was paid in Auckland by Mr. Hendry Luke, who- has returned from a visit to Sydney. He said that- before water was brought to the land in the Mildura district, it would carry only a few sheep. I lie area now blossomed, and from 33.000 acres about £3,000,000 was taken annually from the sale of citrus, dried and other fruits.
