MONTHLY STOCK SALE DA LG El Y AND' CO’S REPORT Messrs. Dalgety and Co. Ltdi. report having held their usual monthly stock sale at Opotiki last Thursday, when a heavy yarding of all classes of cattle was sulimited. iSheep-also came forward in average numbers. There was a large attendance of buyers and counpetitou was keen at fully late rates for sheep, and a total clearance was effected. Fat cattle met with a steady demand at slightly lower values than those realised at- the previous fixture. All other classes of cattle sold at fully late rates, with the exception of yearling Jersey heifers which sold at an advance on late rates. The principal sales were fifteen 3 and 4-year bullocks, account J. T. Clark, realising LB 15, 5-; and ten yearling Jersey heifers, account Messrs. Stansbury Bros., realising £5 los. Realisations.—Sheep: shorn, heavy prime wethers, £l Ls 3d; woolly fat hoggets, £1 -l.s Cu; fat ewes, woolly, light, 14s Od; failing mouth ewes in wool with 100 per cent. lambs, all counted, 12s 3d. •Cattle; dairy heifers, £8 to £8 os; backward and inferior sorts, £1 10s to £o; fat cows, medium weight, £0 Ids to £7 os; light, £4 10s to £5 10s; unfinished sorts, £3 10s to £4 ; lat heifers, light, £5 to £0; 3 and 4-year Hereford bullocks, £8 Ids; 2 and 3-yr. P. A. steers, £7 ; yearling P.A. steers, £3 7s (3d to £3 12s Cell; small, £2 10s to £2 Ids; yearling P.A. heifers, £2; small, £1 10s; P.A. cows and calves, £3 10s; boner cows, £2 10s to £3 2s Od ; lighter sorts, £1 10s to. £2; yearling Jersey lieifers, £4 to £5 Ids; inferior sorts, £3 to £3 10s; pedigree Jersey bulls, £ld Ids; grades, £7 to £9; boner bulls, £3 lO.s to £d.
