OLDEST HEN IN ENGLAND
HEADING, Eng., July O.—A claim that, she owns the oldest lien in England is made by Mrs. Elizabeth Rumble, wife of a gardener of Ki<lmore Kind, near Heading. The hen is 17 years old. She is tieated like a. pot. Instead of being penned up like other chickoiis, she is allowed to roam about the bouse and garden. She eats from the same bojvl and at the same time as a spaniel ami three kittens.
