MR. KNICKERBOCKER
AVELL-KN OWN J O URN ALIST R ECENT REV ELATION S Mr. H. R. Knickerbocker, who responded to Dr. Oocbbels’ invitation to produce evidence about the way tho Nazi leaders have been feathering their nests abroad, is a well-known American newspaper man now 41 years, of age and a journalist for the past lit years. He is a Texan, a graduate of the Columbia University School of Journalism, and a past winner of the Pulitzer Prize _l‘or foreign correspondence. He Caine into the foreign field by way of the Newark Morning Ledger, the New lYork Sun and the International News Service, but it was as a correspondent of the Philadelphia PublicLedger and the. New York Evening Powt that lie won fame. When working as Berlin corespondent of these newspapers he published a series of articles on Soviet Russia in December, 1930, and January, 1931. which was judged the best work of the year. His book incorporating thosearticles was a best-seller. He later worked oil the war fronts in Abyssinia, Spain and China, and since'l93s- - been back again with International News. Air. Knickerbocker has had sonic previous experience of detective work,, for in 1929 he wrote a story which led to the arrest and imprisonment of two men who forged the names .of Senator Borah and .Senator Norris to documents linking those legislators with the Soviet regime..
