MONTHLY AIEETiN G ,'iiie executive committee of the Red •Gross (Opotiki Branch), held their monthly meeting in the Borough Council chambers on Friday. the chairman. Mr. Blaigeut, presided over almost a full attendance. Reports from . entertainment committee (Mrs. Quirk), first aid and home nursing (Mrs. Mail), and Coinforts, (Mrs.. Clark,), were'read and the committee expressed complete satisfaction with the arrangements made by these three sub-committees. Entertainment Committee. — Much gratitude was. expressed at the linancial help already received as the result cf local efforts. In this connection it would be of great assistance to tho society if local organisations desirous of raising funds on behalf of the Red Cro>s, would first consult the entertainment committee (Mrs. Quirk). hirst Aid and Home .Nursing.— Glasses are held in first aid in the Parish Hall on Mondays at 7.30p.m., and for home nursing in the* Mission Hall on Wednesdays. The zeal with which members are attending regularly the 'lectures .must be very gratifying to the instructors, Dr. Mail and Nurse Hubherd. - Comforts.—-The monthly meeting of this section is held in the Parish Hall at 2 p.m. on the 4th. Thursday. Work is well under way and is ready to bo expanded as soon as definite information is received as to specific requirements. Through, an oversight in the report of the comforts meeting the names of members of the committee elected by the executive were unfortunately omitted. These are: Mrs. A It.voed. Mrs. Clark. Mrs. Gault, Mrs. Sinclair. Mrs. Thompson, and Mrs. W’ilsoii.
