TIP TOP CLUB BALL The lop Top (.Hull’s ball, held in the Lyric Hall on Wednesday night, in aid oh Hed -Gross funds, was a great success both socially and financially.

Aiiisic was supplied by AfePougall and his syncopating Hot Scots, with extras by .Messrs. J. Savage, X. F.lJiet- and J. Al'annix. The duties of Al. C. were carried out by Air, Staveley. The new Beomps-a-Daisy dance was performed for the first time in Opotiki.

Alunte carlo dances were won by ALiss Al. Williams and Air. B. Laird, and Aliss 'I - , Tawhiao and Air. A. Debreeeny. 'l’lie cakje competition was won by Air. C. Lovell. Soles were sweetly rent lie red by Airs. C. Smith, accompanied on the piano b\l Air. G. JSo ivies, and by Aliss J. Griffiths, accompanied by M'r. Ale DougaJl. A tap dance was neatly executed by Aliss K. Walton, while ATr. AlcDougall obliged at the piano.

Prizes’ for fancy costume were wen by. the following:— Alost original costume, Miss I). Julian. as a Victorian Lady; best-dressed couple. Air. B. and Aliss I). limit, as Aicxicans; most humorous, Air. Maunix and Aliss H. Gough, one* couple, from Snow White and llie Seven Dwarfs.

Many other fancy costumes were displayed!, both humorous and oiiginal. Snow • White and the Seven Dwarfs, accompanied by the Piincc. wui excellently displayed, and reflected great credit cm the person who designed it. Afiss L.
