Ltd. report as follows on the fortnightly pig sale held in the Opotiki saleyards on Monday : We had a small, yarding of pigs in all, classes and owing'to the scarcity report an advance in rates on weaners, slips and store pigs. Prices were: Medium baconers, £3 to* £’3 os; light baconCrs, £2 14s to £2 38s;. heavy porkers. £2 12s to £2 1.(5.5; buttermilk" pigs, 7s- to "£2 125..; large, stores, 37s to £2 3s; smaller sorts, 30s to 355; slips, 25s to 28s; good weaners, .24s Gd to 28s 3d. Messrs. Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report as follows : A small yarding of all classes of pigs came forward, bat-oners predominating. Competition was keen rip to restricted limits, with, realisations, slightly lower than those at the sale a fortnight- ago. young pigs were the subject of keen competition at fully late rates.
