USE OF DRUNK-O-METER \ The new traffic code in Indiana, U.S.A. embraces two additions to the statutes of vital importance to motorists. Although courts generally have held that drunk-o-meter tests are adlnissiblftiiiin evidence, Indiana thus becomes first State to legalise its use. 'l'hc charge of . involuntary manslaughter governs the killing of a person during tlie commission of> an unlawful act, the penalty for which is one to ten years. Reckless homicide was written into the statutes to provide for prosecution of drivers who kill while violating no law other than traffic codes. Tlie new law provides."'for a maximum penalty of from one to live years in the penitentiary and a line of £250 or both, or a penal farm sentence of from 60 days to six months, and a line o! £26 or both .
