Valuable scholarships to cnnimciKte in 1940 are offered by the Boatd ot Governors of King’s C ollege. A lick-, land. These include the A.l vers-Rank-art Scholarship, open to boys under 1.3 years of age on Ist.' January. 19 |U.. This scholarship is offered once every four years. Entrance " scholarships of £4o per. annum for lour years are also offered for hoys under 13, oiiei for hoys under 14. and one for hoys attending Preparatory School. Ah old boy of .King’s College was. recently awarded, a Rhodes Scholarship and has since taken a -first class lion ours degree at Oxford. Another, did boy holds a fellowship at Trinity College, Cambridge. Another old boy was appointed to* tile British Colonial Service. This' i> the third similar appointment in recent years. Examination results compare more than favourably with those of other schools.
