The solemn statement made by the Prime Minister of Great Britain, Mr. Chamberlain, that a state of war exists between (treat .Britain and Germany. although not unexpected, will have a profound effect upon all peaceloving poo'ples throughout the world. It is recognised that Britain has taken the only honourable course left open to her. and the declaration will receive the wholehearted support of all British Dominions. Passing' through crisis after crisis, and watching small independent States have demand after demand thrust upon them, Britain has tried' ch dry possible effort to preserve the peace of hiitropo. That these efforts wore being sneered at-.by Herr Adolf Hitler, and Ids intentions of world domination, were plainly evident. The full forces of Great Britain, in conjunction with those of France, are to be used to free Boland from Germany and if is expected that Britain will have to defend hersoli against attack. At a time such as this all British subjects will pray most fervently, “Godl Save Our Gracious King".
