WEDDING
DAVIS—NEWTON A* very pretty wedding was scJopm iscd at St. John’s Presbyterian Church on 'Saturday, July 29, when Knvharine Gertrude, only daughter of Mr. and Airs. S. F. Newton, AYaingararn, and Henry Edgar Davis, eldest son ol Air. and Airs. Geo,' Davis, To Awanutty,-,; were joined in the bonds of matrimony. The officiating minister was Kev. A. C. Hampton; Airs. Hmines presiding at the organ. The bride, who entered the, church on the arm of her father, wore a hand-some-gown of magnolia bridal satin, cut on slimming lines, the .bodice being shirred .in front to a high neckline. and finished with a row of small gold burtons dow n the hack. Ihe i( ng-filt ing sleeves were full a l ' the shoulders and ended in a point over the' hand. The full-fitting skirt ended in a long oval tiain, and her veil ol magnolia tulle attached to a coroner of moon bloksoms, 101 l gracefully ovci tiie lace and entiled in a second tram at the hack. She carried a shoal o; snowdrops and asparagus fern. In attendance as matron of honour h;k Airs. Crippen. who wore a hock of elover net over tall etas, a erown!i-.., Venetian Imt, and carried a hou(li>i*t to tone, 'file flower girls, little Horlev and Joan Sargent, were dressed alike in long frocks ol lavender net over taffetas. They wore cro-wn-k-s- poke bonnets and carried posies ol In vender primroses. The bridegroom was supported by AH F.
