CHAINING IT EDGED BAR TO SHEEP-WORRY LNG The need tor some legislation requiring dogs to be chained up at night-time in the country, as a precaution against sheep worrying, was stressed by Or. F. S. Bowen at last week’s meeting of 1 1he Cook County Council. •Or. Bowen referred to the serious case of siieep worrying on -Mr. T. Lynn’s property at -Manutuke on Tuesday night. .May 23. when 2(J slurp were killed' and 30 severely worried. He considered that if dogs were compulsorily • tied up at nigiiG much of the menace from worrying would disappear. He proposed to frame a remit for the Counties’ Conference, and said ha would submit it to the next meeting of the council for its approval.
