A dog came along, picked up a ball and took it to Thomas -Harrison, its 52-year-old master, who patted it oil the back and put the ball into his pocket. •At Worcester .Police Court yesterday Harrison and .Matthew Keane, an old-age pensioner, were accused of having stolen balls. .Harrison told the magistrates iluv; 'lie was looking for the ball of a player who had promised him sixpence, and lie nearly trampled on the hidden policeman. Harrison was fined £2 and cost?. Keane was bound over.
