SWORDS’ SWALLOW Jilt DIES MELBOURNE, April 12—In an attempt to swallow a third sword after he had inserted two 2ft. swords into his gullet during a sword swallowing exhibition at the Alordialloc carnival on Saturday night, John Lilpa, aged 53, of Yarraville, cut his throat. He died in the Royal .Melbourne Hospital from complications late last night. Lilja, who was a Swede, had not previously experienced an accident during a career of many years. After his accident on Saturday Lilja received .medical attention, but chest trouble developed on Sunday, and he was admitted to the hospital.
