Ltd. report as follows : A good average yarding of cattle came forward whilst sheep were yarded in heavier numbers than has been the. case at the Opotiki sales for some time. Tlife market for fat cattle improved by at. least .5s ,aj head, whilst the price for store and boner cows showed a retrograde movement. Sheep met with a very disappointing sale m some instances although 13s .was obtained for 2-th. wethers and' 11s 4d for ewe hoggets. Wether hoggets made the satisfactory figure of 9s. for a line of 56 from JM'r. A. G. Gellert, Wairatai. whilst fat ewes made 12s. Gd. We quote the following prices which were obtained lor cattle and which generally can be taken as an indication of values ruling throughout the sale : Prime fat cows, £7 -Is; others, £6 | Os; light prime,- £5 10's to £6 2s Cd : medium fat cows, £4 2s Gd ; fat- cows Jersey sorts made, made to £4 4s; others, £3 10s to £'3 18s; light, £2 18s to £3 ss; store cows, £2 os; others in lighter condition. £1 15s to £2; bauers. £1 to £1 7s; very light cows suitable for boiling down lor pigs, were sold at 13s,
