IVY POISONS BOY
POLLEN OX LOGANBERRIES LONDON, Oct. 11 Pollen from ivy which fell on loganberries lie ate killed 12-year-old Peter Streatfieild, a pathologist- disclosed at the inquest on the boy at Cinderford, Gloucestershire. There was no record of a similar case, the pathologist- said. The pollen contained a poison which slowed up breathing and the pulse, and caused internal, bleeding. The hoy ate loganberries while cutting ivy at- his grandparents’ cottage.
