TO THE EDITOR

THE PLUNKET ROOM Dear Sir, —In reply to the letters of “Trained Visitor”' and “interested Mother”, which appeared in your issue of Monday last, the undersigned would like to know if either of the writers is prepared to provide a room in a central position .suitable for use as a Plunket Room until such time as the Borough and County Councils receive wordi as to the Government’s intention. If so, we would be exceedingly pleased for them to do so—the sooner the better—as then that “public thoroughfare” with the dilapidated furniture (which is not our property) can once more be rendered available to our staff and clients who patronise the tea-rooms. AYe absolutely deny that this room in question is or ever was a public thoroughfare. (Mrs) AY..Newell. (Miss) A. BLACK.
